I offer Individual Psychotherapy and Couples Therapy

Most people experience emotional stress or distress at some point in their lives and need help.

People often come to me for therapy after a painful life event or because they are suffering from problems in their personal or professional lives. I have been a psychotherapist in London for over thirty years. I provide psychotherapy in a safe, confidential environment. Therapy that is designed to meet your individual needs.

I work with individuals and couples on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period, to help toward a greater self awareness and understanding of relationships with others.

The aim of psychotherapy is to realise our potential for recovery, growth and lasting change. I offer a therapeutic relationship in which I listen, support and challenge to enable you to find your own way to recovery to enhance your life and to live it more fully.

From my vast clinical experience in mental health services I am able to work with mild, moderate and severe difficulties.

I am a highly skilled and experienced practitioner working in many different contexts using the collaborative approach developed at the Tavistock to help individuals, groups and teams to support better performance and leadership.

I work with clients to develop insight into and manage complex professional challenges.

I am a founder member of The Systems-Psychodynamic Consultants Network

I participate in public life by for example as a former Chair of a national women's mental health charity, WISH, Women In Secure Hospitals. I was a clinical member of The United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy Ethics Committee and I represented them on The Professional Conduct Committee where I am now Deputy Chair.

I also publish and regularly present papers at conferences and committees.

Fees and Appointments

My current fees per session for individual psychotherapy are £95, for couples therapy £115, for clinical supervision £95

Fees for organisation consultancy and executive coaching are negotiated on an individual project basis.

In the first instance for all services therapeutic and consultative it is my usual practice to suggest that we meet for a consultation and my fees are as above.

I have a 72 hour cancellation policy, if you need to cancel within that time the full session fee will be charged.

My practice is based in Islington a 10 minute walk from Highbury and Islington station, overground and tube and a 15 minute walk from Angel tube and is well served by buses. I cover Stoke Newington, East London, Hampstead, Highgate, Holloway, the City, Central London, the West End.

I also offer psychotherapy, couples therapy, supervision, coaching and organisation consultancy via Zoom platform and by telephone.
